Reaction Buttons for Blogger

Reaction buttons helps the readers of your blog to react to your blog posts. With help of this feature, you can get feedback from your readers. This is very interesting as well as very helpful for those reader of your blog who don't have enough to say about your blog posts. More or less, reaction buttons are something like polls for every blog posts. Blogger has already included this feature for us. So in this tutorial i will show you how to implement this widget in your blog. Besides i have found that blogger has limited number of reaction buttons. So, in addition i will show you how to add infinite number of buttons in your blog.

Lightbox for Blogger

Lightbox is a simple, unobtrusive script used to overlay images on top of the current page. Clicking on an image in a blog post will brings up the image in a larger overlay on top of your blog. It's a snap to setup and works on all modern browsers. All blog images regardless of whether directly uploaded from your computer or linked to from another source will display in this lightbox view. If there are multiple images in the blog post, then all of those images will be available to browse through lightbox if they are programmed to do so when the lightbox view is opened. By default blogger provides this facility. But if somehow your blogger blog failed to display images via lightbox, then try this method. Besides if you want to customize your lightbox view, you can also go for this method.

Show and Hide Blogger Widgets (Including Official Widgets)

You may have noticed that all the widgets (gadgets) you add to your blog, will be displayed on all the pages by default. But it is really important to control various widget display in blog page because some widgets are actually meant for some specific pages. For example, 'share widget' should be displayed in every pages except home page and static pages. It does not make any sense when 'share widgets' are displayed in home page of your blog. Also hiding certain elements inside your blog pages is not only a matter of design, but sometimes it is also a requirement. Now in order to do this, you have to enclose those widgets within a few codes. Don't panic. It is very simple.

Remove Attribution Widget from Blogger

The 'Attribution' widget is that widget in the footer that says "Powered By Blogger". Blogger's terms and conditions do not allow to remove this widget from the blog. Although presence of this widget is little bit of annoying. If you have tried to remove this widget, you may have noticed that this widget is locked into your blog i.e. if you go to 'Layout' panel of blog, you will find that you can't move (and hence remove) this widget. Even if you click 'Edit' on 'Attribution' widget, a new window will appear which doesn't contain a 'Remove' button on it (displayed below).

Today i will show you how to 'Backup' your Blog and also how to 'Restore' your Blog from that backup file that you have already made. This is however very important in case you want to customize your blog.
Why should i backup my blog ?
Because if you run into any kind of problems with your template edits, you can simply revert your template back to its previous condition by restoring it from your backup. That's why backup is very important.
